In 1994, France’s JBM group signed up LUDI, its own brand of toys and childcare products in the heart of the Tours area. LUDI designs and produces toys for children from birth to 5 years of age. Everything is designed to give children enjoyable new experiences, helping them discover the outside world, develop self-esteem, language, observational and motor skills, not to mention social skills – and all whilst having fun, of course!
LUDI is committed to improving children’s well-being, with ranges for babies and for motor skills and development, as well as outdoor toys and educational games. And because the LUDI team loves a good surprise, there’s always a typical LUDI “tip or trick” to go with each one!
It all begins the moment the product is first developed, long before it hits the market. We take the time to carefully research our designs and choose the safest materials for our products. Further, our products undergo several quality control tests before they get into your children’s hands. Depending on the product, a laboratory of experts carries out additional tests to make sure it conforms to European regulations. In order to ensure consistent quality and safety, every shipment of our products is thoroughly tested.
Here at LUDI, your child’s safety is our #1 priority !
The mandatory CE marking is used on any of our products that are classified as “toys”. It means that the product in question conforms to European regulations.
This mandatory statement must be affixed to products classified as “childcare articles”. It declares that these products have met European safety regulations.
Foam-based products are machine washable (cold). A bathtub would do the job nicely, as well !
The mattresses in our bedding products (portable beds, pop-up cradles, portable tents, etc.) are machine washable. All of our polyester, PVC, and plastic products can be cleaned with a damp cloth.
The calendars can be dry-cleaned.
This unpleasant (but not harmful) odour is sometimes noticed when the product is opened. Simply allow it to air out for 24 hours and/or wash it before use.
Formamide is a chemical that can be used as a softening agent and deodoriser in numerous plastic products, foam mats in particular. Increasingly well-known by the general public, it became regulated for use in foam “puzzle mats” in 2011. ALL LUDI products containing formamide conform to the regulations in force.
Phthalates are regulated chemicals that can be found in plastic materials. They are used to make plastics more flexible. ALL our products containing phthalates conform to the regulations in force.
Bisphenol A (BPA) is a regulated chemical that can be found in resins and plastics used for dummies and baby bottles. Our products are BPA-free.
Cadmium is a metallic chemical element that can be used to stabilise plastics. ALL LUDI products containing cadmium conform to the regulations in force.

Ah yes, that can happen… especially with our pop-up products that sometimes require a helping hand. That’s why we’ve made a collection of videos that demonstrate the proper ways to fold these products.
